Glenapp Castle stars in BBC Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars
When luxury Scottish hotel, Glenapp Castle was approached by the BBC to appear in the next series of Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars, it was a natural fit. Celebrity chef and host, Gordon Ramsay was born in the country and the series provided a perfect opportunity for him to return to his homeland and to showcase Glenapp Castle as a culinary destination.
The Task
Back by popular demand for a second series, Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars sees 12 budding food and drink entrepreneurs compete for the opportunity to win a life changing prize investment fund of £150,000. Ramsay challenged the contestants to create a feast fit for a banquet in the grounds of Glenapp Castle, selecting the finest Scottish food and drink.
Our Approach
The PC Agency worked to get as many people as possible to watch the showing of the first episode. The PR team embarked on a media push, creating press releases and working their media contacts to secure widespread national and regional coverage ahead of the broadcast.
The Results
14 pieces of coverage were secured across consumer titles including The Times, Daily Express and SheerLuxe. The team at Glenapp Castle reported average daily website visits were up by over 700% during the live broadcast of the first episode, creating valuable sales leads for them to convert.
